At present in the GreaterAustin Metropolitan Area we are running several degrees cooler than normal. The evening weather guy said for the first 7 days of July we’re a few tenths greater than 4 degrees below normal.
Smoke has really been bothering me, even in the apartment. Eyes burning, bad taste in my mouth, sneezing, and the occasional cough, with lots of clearing my throat as the smoke particles combine with mucus and itch.
Some reporters whose work finds it way into the MSM are finally starting to point out how and why global warming will soon end and the Northern Hemisphere at least, will start to go into some very chilly times. It was reported several years ago, but, of course, Anthropogenic Global Warming was the agenda being pushed, and anything that would counter that in any way was off-limits. Even if it was pointed out that, human-caused or not, global warming created situations that once they reached a critical point, triggered the turn to a much cooler climate.
Smoke remains bad this morning (2AM, Reno time). Hot and we cannot open the windows to let the fan pull in cooler air.
We have a swamp cooler running, but it raises the humidity in a closed space and that renders it less efficient.
Still waiting for promised winds to push the smoke away...
It was definitely cooler outside at 1 am-4 am last night than it was during the day yesterday. Had a big ruckus just down the hall from me involving sprinklers in the involved apartment going off, some smoke, the building fire alarm screaming for those three hours, water all over the new hallway carpet, almost an hour of pounding on the door and using a police two-person battering ram to get inside the apartment. Some kind of hassles between two people, some paper plates on the stove caught fire, lots of yelling. The yelling I heard, I think, as there is only one apartment between that one and mine. The rest of it we picked up out of the LEOs as they escorted us back to our apartments. My next-door neighbor on the same side of the hall, facing the courtyard, just on the other side of the fire doors, and a man and woman and a small dog were all out on the end of the hall smoking balcony.
It was not super hot outside at that hour, but smoke, with odors, was coming from outside and inside.
And because all of that, plus the fact that my face has landed on the keyboard three times doing this post, I ama going to lie back down and nap until I am ready to head out to do my stuff again today.
Just my opinion.
Oh, I almost forgot to mention (If I had not fallen asleep again I would have already have hit the post button.) I saw another report on the Atlantic Ocean losing circulation, or, more accurately, the several currents in the Atlantic Ocean shifting positions, rising or sinking, and pretty much putting the deep freeze on the Northeast US, Eastern Canada, the North Atlantic Islands, and Western Europe.
