In this section I would love to hear all about any good books that you have read lately. Prepping related subjects are always good, but if you have anything good to say about any good book a review would be appreciated! Especially those that are rare, new, or from unknown authors.

If you are interested in .pdfs of military and survival related manuals i have two sites to reccomend.

    Textfiles.com
And thepiratebay.org (if it is still in operation) you can download terabytes of manuals by Paladin Press or others of that genre. Of course, beware! There is some very dark and dangerous info floating around on that torrent directory. You've been warned! I would recommend an old computer you have encrypted and reformatted the hard drive on, and a internet connection that isn't yours for downloading torrents. The pirate bay was wikileaks before wikileaks, there were leaked government briefs, even radical Islamic training manuals on that site. Be careful, and use your head.

I have spent some time on textfiles it's been around for a long time. Thepiratebay.org is a new one on me. I'm not really set up for that kind of work, but it's good to know it's out there. Have you heard of this one @twp?

I was aware of PirateBay, but am not willing to take that risk with my systems. The 3D gun printer patterns, from DefCAD.com, are risky enough but I don't want to cross the paths of the government book burners.

More than you probably want to know:

8chan - Infogalactic: the planetary knowledge core

Do note the comments about lack of moderation compared to other boards.

I've not looked at 8chan, so this might be a place to either avoid or submerge completely.

I heard that it's the type of place that only the dark side visits. I have also heard that going there can lead to trouble, so I have refrained from doing it personally.

I say, if you go, proceed with extreme caution.

I checked it out...not super impressed. It's just like 4chan. I like the concept of Anonymous boards, but I dislike what they get used for, which of course is sh*t posting and meme wars. Some is funny, most of it is mindless chatter.

So what would you like as an obituary notice? "We greatly appreciate his courage and bravery in scouting the enemy camp. He will be missed."

The dark side is pretty interesting. The dark web can definitely kill a few hours. The potential for using it for real and constructive things is massive, but of course, there are a limited number of sites to find information that is interesting, even harder to find things that are accurate. The black market is interesting. Until i did some research on it i was unaware the worlds best counterfeit US bills came from north korea. Lots of fun facts that could easily get you a felony if you messed around actually doing.

Seriously tho, i have little fear of any of that garbage. I have been doxed and all that, its just not something I worry too much about. Mainly, I look around as a passive observer, i don't post, or do any sort of uploads. If i have a beater PC that's been reformatted and TOR i may download something or ask some questions. Also a good use of "virtual box" you can create the appearance of a completely different computer and if it gets a virus you can wipe that partition and start a new one.
