    The last wind up radio I owned (am/fm) used super-capacitors rather than chemical batteries. Their lifetime is Much longer but need to be recharge more frequently, about every hour. If I could find a wind up power supply, which used super-capacitors, that would be ideal because it would run multiple devices.
