Does everyone feel safer now?

Honestly, I am more concerned now than before. lol Makes me think of a scene in the movie Starship Troopers where one of the guests on a talk show was found the idea of smart bugs abhorrent and basically said he simply would not accept it. In the sense of just not admitting it and ignoring it. And unfortunately, I know head-in-the-sand people that actually live their lives like that, dependent on other people to keep things safe for the rest of the population.

Just my opinion.

I think the smart folks know that there comes a time when trying to talk sense to people becomes dangerous... and its just easier (and wiser) to take care of oneself and get out of the way of whats gonna happen

focus on being a self sufficient, off the grid, leaf in a pile of leaves...

I agree. It's no use arguing, and most of the time it's no use even trying to gently persuade.

I honestly think its rapidly getting to be time to drop out of society....
  • the wokeness is getting really radical
  • the response from regular people is getting close to kinetic

Watching the "news", fake and alternative both, I'm expecting some kind of "trigger" event to happen, probably orchestrated by the US government, aided by China. Russia is just waiting to see which side acts first. If you've been reading the fake news, China is pushing on Taiwan, but that seems to be mostly aimed at getting a response from the US, who, technically, has pledged to protect Taiwan. The US only has a token navy fleet near there, most of our fleet may (perhaps, maybe) be still sitting in the Philippines but I don't have any firm information on that.

The US has another problem in Biden, who seems to be failing more frequently. Token VP Harris is hovering outside the country, not really doing anything important, just hovering. This looks like a setup...

A factor to be watched is the news reports of shortages (food, ammo, gear, etc) and a failing shipping system. While these may be contrived, I think they are having real effects on our (Preppers) ability to stock up. The situation also works to spread fear (FUD) among most citizens, not just we Preppers.

Things to watch for:
1) Large drop in number of Navy and/or Airforce enlisted personnel, pushed out by the Scamdemic vaccine rulings.
2) Movement of several Navy ships to the area between China and Taiwan.
3) Action by Israel against Iran. This is just simmering in the background right now.
4) Some other "trigger" for a sudden increase in military conflict, somewhere around the globe.
5) A sudden, sharp increase in the attempt to enforce Scamdemic lockdowns here in the US. Look at Australia...

If the above scenario feels like someone saying "The Sky Is Falling", well, Preppers need to be aware that the sky really can fall in our current world.

Preppers, now is the time be reviewing your Plans, your Gear and your Food Stores. If any part of those are weaker than you could want, put extra effort into adjusting the weaker parts. Use this forum to ask for assistance in ways/actions to be taking right now.

'course this could all be just hot air... but I don't want to be caught UN-Prepared...

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming. Don't worry, be happy... NOT

twp, I like the analysis, with one exception. Until conflict breaks out, and the US has to go into the strait between China and Taiwan. Even if there is conflict, going into the strait would be a major surprise to me. At least for a carrier group to do so. There could be some specialty ships go in to suppress Chinese air assets, missile assets, and potentially, invasion craft.

I do not believe any of our nuke subs would get in there either. Taiwan has some submarine assets that could do fairly well against the Chinese surface craft, and most of their submarines. Though attrition could take them down to nothing pretty quickly.

I believe the US would use air assets from carriers, plus using Taiwanese land facilities. Again, specialty ships with escorts, to hit Chinese bombers, fighters, submarines, invasion force ships, and special ops craft.

Just my opinion.

IF we have good Allies there - the Philippines and Japan would be well positioned. Also on the Pacific side of Taiwan.

Folks are kinda/sorta saying "Yours is not as big as you think."
I hope they don't try to prove it is.
