Reading the latest American Survival Guide magazine they have an article about these bikes that was pretty good to read.

I had discounted these as not really being a good idea a couple of years ago, but then my dad bought a similar bike and I went on a ride with him. Not only was he kicking my butt up every hill, but speeds in general were much faster than I could keep up with. He's 67 and I am in much better shape, but at the end of the ride I was crying uncle. After that, I realized that this things could be very effective as a bug out vehicles, especially with a spare battery and a roll up solar panel to charge it. Now I a thinking about where I am going to come up with $3500 for a bike!

Looks very interesting although that price is steep...
    Wonder what spare batteries cost?

Uh, yeah... $4000 for a bike will put it outside my price range.

Easy financing available. Yeah, for a bike.

I wonder if the price will come down in the future.

It could take a while with that price-point. They would need big sales volume to bring the price down, a catch-22 situation.
