Definitely something to learn from. We spend too much time online as it is and I expect to feel withdrawal symptoms if we ever have a long term Internet downtime.

Facebook withdrawal is going to be nearly as bad as alchohol or drugs for some people. It just might be something to add to your list of things to prep for.

I have an image of two people trying to coach each other through Internet withdrawal. It is not a pleasant image. Then multiply that by the population of a town or large city. Roving crowds of zombies might be accurate. It sounds like a joke, but tempers will be easily triggered and patience will be thin. It will be a crime to yell "ACCESS" in a crowded theater.

We already have some Prepper items for this kind of situation, playing cards and games. Need more alcohol. What is needed are projects to work on, preferably physically intensive work which leaves one exhausted enough to sleep.

Right. Imagine how productive SOME people might be if the net went down.

After they get over the shakes they might be able to work for short periods each day. They can get temporary relief by typing on their dead keyboards every 15 minutes. Of course the group therapy sessions during lunch break will help so many from California. @Atlas, be prepared to hold woodcraft classes for the recovering addicts.
